Puja is a graduate student at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs pursuing a Master of Arts in Asian Studies. She recently graduated with honors from Sewanee where she majored in International and Global Studies and minored in Women’s and Gender Studies. During her undergraduate years, she interned at the State Department for the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. She also interned at two nonprofits, Just Neighbors and Bread for the World in the DMV area. As an undergrad student, Puja studied abroad in Nepal and India and conducted an independent research project on foreign aid and the Dalit experience. She is passionate about human rights and humanitarian policy as well as women’s rights and intersectionality.
