Naomi Egel is the Janne Nolan nuclear security visiting fellow at the Truman Center and the Truman National Security Project. In this capacity, she leads Truman's engagement on nuclear policy issues. She is also a PhD candidate in political science at Cornell University, researching the politics of multilateral arms control, nonproliferation, and disarmament agreements.
From 2019-2020 she was a visiting fellow at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. Previously, she was a research associate for international institutions and global governance at the Council on Foreign Relations.
Her work has been published in Foreign Affairs, the Washington Post, the Nonproliferation Review, and the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists. She holds a BA from UC Berkeley and an MA from Cornell University.
