Diane Wertime (née Mars) is a 2017 Truman Security Fellow and avid privacy and data security enthusiast. She is currently Chief Operating Officer at Full Circle Fund, which is changing the social impact landscape through pooled financial and intellectual capital from Members and Tech Accelerators with executives from Fortune 50 companies.
Previously, Diane was Chief of Staff and Programs at the global nonprofit Net Impact and for years drove cybersecurity and modernization initiatives at Deloitte Consulting in the Strategy & Operations Public Sector practice in Washington, DC. Her government clients have included U.S. Department of Homeland Security agencies, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, and the World Bank.
Diane is a proven leader in making organizations more effective on behalf of safe and resilient communities. In different U.S. cities, Diane served on boards of local economic opportunity nonprofits, including as Membership Co-Chair of a women’s collective giving philanthropy and as Board Vice President of a mental health and homelessness nonprofit, Housing Unlimited. She holds a Master of Public Administration in Federal Management and Policy from George Washington University and a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
Diane’s areas of focus are good governance, strategy and implementation, enterprise risk management, and security and privacy programs. She served on Truman’s inaugural Member Advisory Board Committee from 2018-2019. She and her Truhusband David currently reside in her hometown of San Francisco with their rescue dog.
