Amy Serafino, CFRE, is the Vice President of Development and member of the senior leadership team for the Truman Center for National Policy and the Truman National Security Project. She is a nonprofit development leader with more than 20 years of experience with the Center for American Progress(CAP), PFLAG National, the American Heart Association, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and other national and community-based organizations.
Amy has extensive experience in individual, foundation, and corporate fundraising, and a passion for democracy, human rights, prosperity, and security for all. In her role with Truman, she focuses on developing relationships and resources to ensure the organization’s strategic strength and vision. As a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Amy has met a series of standards set by CFRE International and is committed to upholding accountability standards and the Donor Bill of Rights. In addition, under Amy’s leadership, Truman’s Development practices are in accordance with the Association of Fundraising Professional’s (AFP) Code of Ethics.
A former member of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Transgender Equality, Amy is a passionate ally of the LGBTQ community and advocate for equitable, inclusive policy.
