Sehreen Noor Ali
Sehreen Noor Ali works for the Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of State. In this capacity, she serves as the special assistant on Middle East issues and is the lead action officer for the White House-led Muslim Engagement portfolio, Science & Technology initiatives, and the Under Secretary’s Fund for Innovation. She has worked at the U.S. Mission to UNESCO, at the U.S. Embassy in Nepal, and has led digital outreach to Iranians from Washington and overseas posts. Sehreen graduated with honors from Brown University and received a full scholarship to pursue graduate studies at the Institute of Ismaili Studies, London and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has studied Arabic, French, Persian, and Urdu and has conducted research in Pakistan, Tajikistan, and the Levant. She is active in her community, is currently developing a leadership program for high school girls, and is interested in organizational and leadership development within the social sector in the Middle East and South Asia.
