Robin Walker
Robin Walker is a national security scholar and policymaker who specializes in South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan), nonproliferation, WMD, nuclear strategy, and great power politics. He has worked for the U.S. Navy at the Center for Contemporary Conflict at the Naval Postgraduate School on projects on U.S.-India relations and over-the-horizon WMD proliferation; at DFI International on homeland security policy, terrorism, and intelligence; and on Senator Patty Murray's 2004 campaign, and has worked and volunteered on several other political campaigns including the Obama policy team. He received his BA in Politics with an international studies concentration from Oberlin College in 2004 and his MA in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2008. His Master's thesis, "Awakening Tiger: India's Quest for Expanded Influence in the World" was well received in both the United States and South Asia. He is the co-editor (with N.S. Sisodia, Peter R. Lavoy, and Cherian Samuel) of India-U.S. Relations: Addressing the Challenges of the 21st Century (Magnum Books: 2008), and managed and wrote for the e-journal Strategic Insights. His is fluent in Spanish and has lived and traveled internationally.
