A combat tested strategic airlift pilot, Robert is a former Major in the United States Air Force. He was born on June 7th, 1976 and grew up in a Southern California working-class neighborhood. Upon graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 1999, Robert was commissioned as an officer. By 2000, he completed the world’s most rigorous pilot training program and began his rapid upgrade to instructor aircraft commander. Following September 11th, 2001, while supporting the Global War on Terrorism, he was responsible for the largest aircraft in the armed forces inventory and led a crew of eight airmen delivering more than a million pounds of mission critical cargo during the largest air movement in military history. His impressive military career culminated in 2009 after serving as the Chief of Future Operations for the Director of Mobility Forces on his last deployment in support of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom. Robert holds a Masters degree in International Relations from the University of Oklahoma and is currently a Robert F. Toigo Fellow and a Morgan Stanley MBA Fellow at Harvard Business School. He is married to the former Natalie Davis of Traverse City, Michigan and they have one daughter, Perla.
