Robert Donovan
Robert Donovan is a Director in risk management with the investment banking firm of Société Générale, where he is the senior credit analyst in the portfolio analysis group for the Americas. Additionally, he is a Co-Chair of the New York Democratic Lawyers Council, a voting rights and election monitoring project of the New York State Democratic Committee and the DNC. Internationally, he recently served as an election expert for the Organization of American States' Verification Mission for the November 2010 Haitian Election and has served as an election monitor and supervisor with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe for elections in Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia and the Republic of Georgia, including that country’s disputed elections leading to the 2003 “Rose Revolution.” Robert also co-chairs the Foreign Affairs Committee of Democratic Leadership for the 21st Century (DL21C). He holds a B.A. in German and Political Science from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and an M.Sc. in international affairs from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. He has been a fellowship recipient for postgraduate study and research in Germany at the Free University of Berlin and Humboldt University at Berlin and in Poland at Warsaw University, where he focused on comparative political and economic transitions, ethnic conflicts and Atlantic security.
