Rebecca Abou-Chedid

Rebecca Abou-Chedid is the Director of Outreach at the New America Foundation's Middle East Task Force, a project of the American Strategy Program.  Prior to joining NAF, she was the National Political Director at the Arab American Institute, a non-profit organization representing the policy interests of the Arab American community.  She was responsible for formulating AAI's positions on foreign policy, civil liberties, and immigration and represented the Arab American community with Congress as well as the Departments of Homeland Security, Justice, and State.  During the 2008 Democratic presidential primaries, Abou-Chedid worked as a field organizer and get-out-the-vote coordinator for Obama for America.  She received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Near Eastern Studies from Cornell University and is pursuing a law degree at Georgetown University Law Center.
