Peter Kauffmann
Peter Kauffmann is Vice President for Communications at the College Board. Kauffmann has held a number of positions in politics and public affairs, including Senior Advisor to Andrew Cuomo on his successful 2010 campaign for governor; Communications Director for the Governor of New York; Press Secretary for Senator Hillary Clinton; and Deputy Press Secretary at the Democratic National Committee. From 2002-2007, he served an Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Navy. He deployed twice aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln as Collection Manager for the carrier strike group; earned the Navy Achievement Medal for his work during tsunami relief operations in Indonesia; and served as a geopolitical analyst specializing in the Pacific region. Kauffmann is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College and resides in Queens, New York with his wife and two daughters.
