Monisha Merchant
Monisha is a senior advisor for U.S. Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO). Previously, Monisha was a product manager at Level 3 Communications where she managed a multimillion-dollar telecommunications portfolio and a consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton. She has advised senior leaders at the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate, Transportation Security Administration, NASA, and other federal R&D agencies. Monisha's international experience includes managing post-tsunami reconstruction projects in Indonesia that delivered safe drinking water to schools and homes; teaching high school students in Shanghai, China; organizing a Yale graduate student delegation to Nigeria to meet with government, corporate and social enterprise leaders; and advocating for expanded access to health care on behalf of the Lidice Quilombola families in Rio Claro, Brazil. A Colorado native, Monisha formerly represented Colorado’s 7th Congressional District on the University of Colorado Board of Regents. She is a graduate of MIT and Yale School of Management.
