Michael Derham
Mike Derham is a financial and economic analyst in the Emerging Markets and International Affairs Group at the New York Federal Reserve Bank. Prior to working for the New York Fed, Derham was a fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute, where he chaired the Innovative Economy Project. He has also worked in sales & trading on Wall Street and as a journalist covering business and financial issues in the Western Hemisphere.
Derham has a Masters of Arts degree in International Affairs and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a B.A. from the Johns Hopkins University. Derham has studied at the SAIS Bologna Center in Italy and additionally lived in Brazil and Argentina; he currently lives in New York City. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and conversant in Italian.
