Manik Suri
Manik V. Suri graduated summa cum laude with an A.B. in Government from Harvard University, where he was the Charles Bonaparte Scholar in Government and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Subsequently, he earned his Masters in International Relations (Highest Distinction) from the University of Cambridge, where he was the Paul Williams Scholar from Harvard. From 2006-09, Manik was employed at D. E. Shaw & Company, one of the largest alternative investment firms globally with approximately $28 billion in assets under management. In this capacity, he worked for the head of the firm’s private equity investment group, leading firm-wide business development related to China and India. Manik is currently pursuing his J.D. at Harvard Law School and is a Visiting Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, where he is completing a book examining U.S. relations with India and China. His writing has appeared in Foreign Policy, Harvard International Review, and Harvard South Asian Journal. Manik speaks Hindi, Spanish, and basic Mandarin.
