Leigh Morris Sloane serves as the Executive Director of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA).  In this role, she manages activities and coordinates initiatives with the Association's 50 plus member schools.  From 2006-2008, Leigh was the Executive Director of the Civic Education Project (CEP), where she worked with the Board of Directors to develop new programs with universities in the Middle East.  Earlier in her career, Leigh served as the Assistant Director for the Congress and US Foreign Policy Program at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).  From 1998-1999, she worked for Ambassador Robert D. Blackwill at the Harvard Kennedy School, initially as a researcher on European issues and later as Program Officer to establish the Middle East Initiative.  In addition, Ms. Sloane has lived and worked in Hungary and Bulgaria.  Originally from Alabama, Leigh earned a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics in History and Theory of International Relations and a Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service.  She is a Term Member at the Council on Foreign Relations.
