Kate Bateman
Kate Bateman handles international partnerships and donor coordination at U.S. Embassy Kabul. She was previously a Political Officer on the Pakistan Desk, US State Department, and served as a Presidential Management Fellow at Embassy Colombo and in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research. Kate studied South Asia and Strategic Studies at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Johns Hopkins University. For three years she was a Legislative Assistant to US Representative Tom Allen, for whom she covered foreign affairs and veterans issues. Kate graduated from Middlebury College in 2000. She is interested in religious leader engagement, countering violent extremism, and US policy in South Asia.
