Jonathan (Nate) Rawlings
Nate
Rawlings is a writer-reporter for TIME Magazine in New York. A native of East
Tennessee, Nate studied history at Princeton University, then served as an Army
officer for five years. Nate served combat tours in Iraq in 2006 and 2008-2009
as a platoon leader and an embedded combat adviser to the Iraqi Army, both with
the 4th Infantry Division. After leaving the Army, Nate earned a masters degree
from Columbia's School of Journalism and is completing a masters degree from
Columbia's School of International and Public Affairs. He has reported for
TIME.com from Iraq and Afghanistan.
