Jon Heavey is an emergency medicine physician at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He completed a 15 month tour in Iraq as an infantry battalion surgeon for the 101st Airborne Division/1-502D Infantry. While in Iraq he founded the Hope.MD Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that evacuated dozens of children for advanced surgical care at leading university hospitals. Currently, when he is not listening to Elmo songs with his wife Melissa and their two young daughters, he is pursuing his executive MBA at Yale University.
