John Malone

John Malone is a VP/Senior Analyst with John S Herold, an energy investment research firm in CT. Responsibilities are energy company strategies, project economics, geopolitics of energy and alternative energy research. Prior to Herold, John was a natural gas consultant, and later worked with an energy-focused private equity group. He has a BA in international relations from Lehigh, an MSc in geology from U. of Maine and PhD in geology from Trinity College Dublin. His analysis of foreign policy as it applies to energy is read by 200+ clients including Federal agencies. John is a Member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Explorer's Club. Originally from Falls Church, VA, he now lives in New York City.
