John Malone

John Malone is a Director and Energy Analyst with Ticonderoga Securities in New York, where he advises institutional clients on energy economics and geopolitics. Prior to Ticonderoga he was VP and analyst with IHS Herold, an energy investment research firm in CT where he specialized on project economics, geopolitics of energy and alternative energy research. Before Herold John was a natural gas consultant, and later worked with a power generation-focused private equity group. He has a BA in international relations from Lehigh University, an MSc in marine geology from U. of Maine and PhD in geology from Trinity College Dublin. John is a Member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the Explorer's Club.
