John Cieslewicz received a PhD in computer science from Columbia University in 2009 where he was a Department of Homeland Security Graduate Research Fellow. As a DHS fellow, John worked on multiple homeland and national security projects at Sandia and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories. In 2004, John graduated from Stanford University with honors in International Security Studies and was the recipient of the William J. Perry award for his honors thesis entitled Attacks and Accidents: Policy to Protect the Power Grid’s Critical Computing and Communications Needs. John currently works at a start-up in the San Francisco Bay area.
