Jim Murphy

James F. Murphy is a former Marine infantry officer and Iraqi Freedom veteran, who has also worked on Capitol Hill and as a defense journalist. He earned a Master of Arts in Security Studies from Georgetown University, with an emphasis on South Asian politics and security issues. After leaving active duty in 2003, Murphy earned an MBA from the University of Southern California, and he is currently working at Activision-Blizzard, the world’s largest video game publisher, in marketing and brand management. He and his wife, Laura, a social worker, live in Los Angeles
