James F. Murphy is a former Marine infantry officer and Iraqi Freedom veteran, who has also worked on Capitol Hill and as a defense journalist. He earned a Master of Arts in Security Studies from Georgetown University, with an emphasis on Asian politics and security issues. After leaving active duty in 2003, Murphy earned an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is currently a director of marketing at Spin Master, the third largest toy company in North America.
