Jesper Pedersen
Jesper Packert Pedersen is the Democratic Staff Director for the House Subcommittee on Europe, working for the Ranking Member of the Subcommittee, Congressman Gregory Meeks from New York.
Prior to working for Congressman Meeks, Jesper was a Senior Outreach Advisor for EU Ambassador João Vale de Almeida and the European Union Delegation to the United States from 2010-2011 and Foreign Policy Advisor for Rep. Robert Wexler (D-FL), Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Europe and Eurasia and co-Chair of the Congressional Turkey Caucus from 2007-2010. Jesper also worked as a Legislative Assistant for Rep. Grace F. Napolitano (D-CA) from 2005-2007.
Prior to immigrating to the United States in 2004, Jesper worked as an Analyst at the Danish Government Accountability Office (‘Rigsrevisionen’), and Program Director for Humanity In Action Denmark.
Jesper was a Humanity In Action Fellow 2002 in Copenhagen and a Lantos/Capitol Hill Fellow 2003 in the office of Rep. Tom Lantos. He received his B.A. in Philosophy from Roskilde University, Denmark and combined Master of Public Administration and Master of Arts in Philosophy also from Roskilde University.
