Jared Wessel
Jared serves in the General Counsel's Office at the United States Trade Representative. There he provides advice on the legal aspects of U.S. trade policy. From 2006 to 2011 he was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, working on trade remedy litigation with a focus on China. Jared received a B.A. in economics from the College of William and Mary. He received his J.D. and LL.M. from NYU School of Law where he was also a junior fellow at the Institute for International Law & Justice. In addition, Jared was a technical adviser to the Republic of Palau's mission to the United Nations dealing with terrorist financing and law clerk to the Honorable Jane Roth of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He has also served as an adjunct law professor teaching international business transactions at Rutgers - Newark School of Law.
