James Koehler

James Koehler is Vice-President at Marwood Group, an investment advisory company with offices in New York, Washington, and London.   As Vice President of Energy Research, James leads a team in providing analysis and advice for institutional investors such as mutual funds, hedge funds, and private equity firms on the impacts of legislative and regulatory actions on the energy sector.  James and his team cover all aspects of the energy and environmental space,  including oil and gas production, taxes, biofuels, power generation and transmission, transportation, efficiency, and carbon regulation. 

  

Previously he served as an advisor in the United States Senate to Senator Ken Salazar (D-CO) as well as a teaching assistant to former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. In 2004 James directed a fundraising office in Ohio for the Kerry campaign. He hails from Los Angeles and is a graduate of Boston College and Georgetown University.
