Jacqueline McLaren Miller is a Senior Associate at the EastWest Institute (New York), where she runs the U.S. program. Previously, she served as Deputy Director of the Council on Foreign Relations’ Washington program. An expert in U.S.  national security and Russia and the post-Soviet states, her current projects include examining climate change policy, U.S. nuclear policy, and Euro-Atlantic security. Among her publications is a co-edited book titled Post-Communist Politics and Change in Russia and East/Central Europe (2005). Jacqueline was assistant director of the Russia and Eurasia Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and assistant director of the Program on New Approaches to Russian Security (PONARS). She has also served as an adjunct faculty member at George Washington University. Her honors include a Foreign Language Area Studies Fellowship (FLAS) for Russia, and she was an International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) Visiting Scholar in  Kyrgyzstan. She also worked as an editor and translator at the Estonian Academy of Sciences. Jacqueline has an AB and an MPA from Cornell University and an MPhil from The George Washington University.
