Erik Saar conducts counterterrorism research as a Principal Consultant with Detica Inc. in Arlington, VA and has previously served on active duty as an Arabic Linguist and Intelligence Analyst in US Army. While in the Army, he worked for the FBI, the National Security Agency and Joint Task Force Guantanamo Bay. His experience in Cuba prompted him to coauthor Inside the Wire: A Military Intelligence Soldier's Eyewitness Account of Life at Guantanamo (Penguin Press, 2005). He earned his bachelor's degree from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA and completed his Master's in Public Policy from George Mason University in 2007.  Mr. Saar was a 2007 Political Leaders Fellow with the Pennsylvania Center for Progressive Leadership.
