Ed Kaplan
Ed Kaplan is a major in the U.S. Air Force, a career intelligence officer, and currently serving as the Assistant Deputy Director for Intelligence on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. He has served in intelligence capacities all over the world, including Cyprus, France, Japan, Italy, Bosnia, and Korea. Kaplan was also an assistant professor in the history department at the United States Air Force Academy. He has earned two Meritorious Service Medals, three Joint Commendation Medals, and an Air Force Commendation Medal. He received his PhD and MA in History from the University of Calgary, and his Bachelor's in History from the United States Air Force Academy. His research interests and publications focus on Cold War history and nuclear strategy.
