Debra Eisenman
Debra Eisenman is Assistant Director of
Global Policy Programs at Asia Society. In this capacity, she develops and
manages projects on governance, security, and development challenges throughout
Asia, with a particular focus on Central Asia, Iran, Pakistan, and
Burma/Myanmar. Prior to this position, Debra served as Senior Program Officer
to the department. Before joining Asia Society, Debra worked on the
Peacebuilding and Western Balkans grantmaking programs of the Rockefeller
Brothers Fund. Debra also served as a Program Associate at the National Crime
Prevention Council, working on programs to advance youth civic engagement and
individual and community safety. Debra was a volunteer election observer in
Kosovo’s 2010 parliamentary elections and in Albania’s 2011 local elections.
She holds a master’s degree in politics from New York University, and is a cum
laude graduate of the University of Maryland with high honors in her government
and politics major.
