Damian Murphy is the Senior Policy Advisor for Foreign Policy, National Security and Homeland Security for Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), Chairman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Near Eastern South and Central Asian Affairs.  Previously, Damian managed Freedom House programs in Central and Eastern Europe and conducted its congressional outreach. Prior to that, Damian was the National Field Director for the U.S. Global Leadership Campaign, a coalition of businesses and NGOs that advocate for funding for international affairs.  He worked at the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI) for five years on democratic development projects.  He also worked on parliamentary and judicial development programs for the Center for Democracy.  He was a Deputy GOTV Director in Pennsylvania for the 2008 Obama presidential campaign, and Regional Field Director for the John Kerry presidential campaign in Ohio.  Damian has a degree in World Politics from the Catholic University of America and a Masters in international Security Studies from Georgetown.
