Corry “Jeb” Kucik
Corry “Jeb” Kucik, an active duty Lieutenant Commander in the Navy Medical Corps, is Director of Anesthesia Training, Navy Trauma Training Center, and Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care, University of Southern California (USC). As such, he teaches trauma management to U.S. and Canadian surgical teams about to deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan, as well as medical students, residents, and fellows of the USC Keck School of Medicine. A Naval Academy and Uniformed Services University (USU) graduate, Jeb has supported Navy, Marine, Army, Air Force, and other government organizations as a flight surgeon, hyperbaric medical officer, diver, and parachute jump master. His postgraduate medical education includes serving as chief resident for the National Capital Consortium Anesthesiology Residency and completing a surgical critical care fellowship at Harvard. Jeb’s military education includes the Marine Command and Staff College, Naval War College, and USU Graduate Certificate in Weapons of Mass Destruction Preparedness; he has also earned the British Diploma in the Medical Care of Catastrophes, authoring a dissertation on response to radiological weapons. He serves on the Naval Institute Advisory Council, the Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology Board of Trustees, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists Board of Directors. He plays the drums.
