Brady Van Engelen
Brady Van Engelen serves on the personal staff of Senator John Kerry (D-MA). His portfolio includes defense and veterans issues. Prior to joining Senator Kerry’s staff, Brady was a member of the U.S. Army and was deployed to Iraq in 2003 with the 1st Armored Division. While in Iraq he served as the Platoon Leader for the platoon that was featured in the “2003 Person of the Year” article by Time Magazine. During his military career Brady was awarded the Bronze Star, and is also a recipient of the Purple Heart. Brady was a 2002 graduate of Seattle University and is currently pursuing his Masters at Johns Hopkins University.
