Andrew Masloski
Andrew Masloski is a program officer with the Office of Global Educational Programs at the Department of State. There he is responsible for supporting educational advising programs for students throughout the Middle East and North Africa interested in studying in the United States. Previously, he was the Director of Educational Outreach for America Abroad Media, where he produced multimedia educational materials about economic, political, and security challenges in the Middle East and South Asia. Prior to joining AAM, Andrew worked as a Senior Research Assistant for the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution. There, he worked closely with Dr. Tamara Wittes on economic and political development in the Middle East; engaged diplomats, policymakers, scholars, and other political and cultural leaders in both the United States and the Middle East; and authored or co-authored a number of analyses of US-Middle East policy. Andrew received an M.A. in Arab Studies from Georgetown's Center for Contemporary Arab Studies and a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown's School of Foreign Service. He speaks Arabic and French and has studied Turkish. He has lived, worked, and traveled throughout the Middle East and South Asia.
