Andrew Albertson
Andrew Albertson is based in Kandahar City, Afghanistan as Deputy Regional Representative for USAID / Office of Transition Initiatives. That follows an eight-month stint for USAID/OTI in Wardak province. From 2007 - 2010, Albertson served as the Executive Director of the Project on Middle East Democracy (POMED), an organization he helped found. He has previous experience working on Capitol Hill and in Guatemala, where he helped teach rural communities about the country's decentralization reforms and new opportunities for local political engagement. Originally from Cincinnati, Albertson received a B.A. from Taylor University and an M.S in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where he was also a Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy.
