Amy Rosenband

Amy Rosenband is a Policy Analyst in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Office of Strategic Plans (OSP), where she focuses on department-wide, long-range planning initiatives. Prior to joining OSP, Amy served as a Policy Analyst for DHS’s Foreign Investment Risk Management team, where she analyzed business transactions for the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States. Before coming to DHS, Amy earned a Master in Public Policy degree from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government (HKS) with a focus on international and global affairs. While at HKS, Amy also worked as a Research Assistant at the Kennedy School’s Preventive Defense Project. While Amy has always been interested in national security, her career began in domestic policy and Chicago politics. During her senior year at Northwestern University, Amy volunteered on the U.S. Senate primary campaign for then-State Senator Barack Obama. Following graduation, Amy was awarded a James H. Dunn Memorial Fellowship to work in Illinois State Government. She spent two years in the Governor’s Press Office and one year as the spokesperson for the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Policy from Northwestern University.
