William C. Danvers

William C. Danvers works for Johnson, Madigan, Peck, Boland and Stewart (JMP) a Washington, DC government relations firm. Immediately before coming to JMP, he was the Director of the Washington Center for the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Prior to assuming his responsibilities at the OECD, he worked for the Clinton administration for four and one half years. This included three and one half years at the National Security Council, where he was a Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs and Senior Director for Legislative Affairs. He joined the Administration in 1993 working at the State Department, as a Special Advisor to Strobe Talbott, then Special Advisor to the President and Secretary of State for the New Independent States. Before joining the Clinton Administration, Mr. Danvers worked as a legislative assistant for economic issues in the office of Senator Joe Lieberman (D-CT) for four years. He also worked for the House of Representatives for eight years where he was the staff director for the House Banking Subcommittee on International Finance, Trade and Monetary Policy, and a legislative assistant for foreign affairs and press secretary.
