Philip O'Neill

PHILIP D. O’NEILL, Jr. is an international lawyer, arbitrator, educator and longtime Democratic Party activist.  He is a partner at Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge, where his global legal practice ranges from counter-terrorism finance guidance to adjudicating billions of dollars in cross-border claims.  An adjunct law professor for over two decades, he currently teaches seminars at Boston University and Boston College Law Schools on National Security and International Arbitration.  Mr. O’Neill also previously taught at Harvard Law School and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. His book entitled “National Security and the Legal Process” was published by Oxford University Press in 2008.  Oxford will be publishing his new book later this year: “Verification in an Age of Insecurity: The Future of WMD Arms Control Compliance”.  Mr. O’Neill’s political experience includes chairing the foreign policy task force on relations with the Arab & Islamic Nations for John Kerry during the 2004 Presidential election campaign, as well as being national co-director of “Lawyers for Kerry”.
